The seal-profile catalog — Marion's normalization layer. Each manufacturer's profiles map toward Fluidseal's own profile namespace. Drill down: Manufacturer → Category Group → Profile Group (parent) → Profile.
The OEM parts layer — a different shape from the catalog. Here the relationship is part-number → Fluidseal part-number (plus the OEM's own parts namespace and an Equipment / Make / Model fitment index), not a profile bridge. John Deere is the reference implementation of the reusable three-layer pattern; future OEMs follow the same structure.
The cross-reference join layer — parent-profiles.json is the canonical map: every vendor profile resolves to a parent, which resolves to the Fluidseal/SSG equivalent. This view shows coverage and gaps — where the mapping is rich and where it still needs work.
